All of the people you see below are people who have supported this dream, who told me to never give up and to not walk away from something that I love. The one thing that they all have in common is that they believed in me. They saw something I didn’t… and for that I am forever grateful. To those of you who told me I couldn’t… Thank you! I’ve come so far.

Meet My Hive…

  • Cynthia Jankowski

    Owner

    Cynthia was born and raised in rural northwest Connecticut; the daughter of a demolition specialist and an immigrant, it was inevitable that Cynthia would be surrounded by rocks and tradition. Little did she know it would be pretty ones. Like most newcomers in Aspen, Cynthia worked every job under the sun to keep herself afloat. Oftentimes working 2-3 jobs. You name it, she did it. Yet, something was missing. It was when she started to work in jewelry that’s when the passion to get up and go do something that she loved every day happened. Being part of people’s meaningful milestones, and creating relationships all over the globe is really what struck the joy in the job. So when the opportunity arose to start her own it was no question that she had to jump at the chance. And that’s what brings us here now to her very own Hive. A little store, that sells pretty little rocks. 

  • Krystyna Jankowski

    Vintage Buyer/Moral Support/Mom

    Born in Wroclaw, Poland, the daughter of a seamstress, Krystyna’s love for fashion started at a young age. After immigrating to the states at the age of 14, for the promise of a better future, she continued to collect beautiful pieces of clothing and jewelry to curate perfect ensembles.

    It was her love for “pretty things” and the art of the find that cultivated my own passion for jewelry and treasures.

    Playfully known as “eagle eye” at Market, Krystyna uses her years of passion to hand select the classic, timeless heirlooms that would be perfect in anyone’s collection. Come check out all of Krystyna’s finds at The Aspen Hive!

  • Holly

    Employee of the Month, EVERY MONTH

    Meet Holly, The Aspen Hive’s most beloved employee. She is hands down the best sales girl in town.

    Holly was rescued from a Reservation in New Mexico and adopted from The Aspen Animal Shelter.

    She made her debut here on Cooper Street seven years ago and since then has won the hearts of many with her sweet eyes and relaxed personality.

    Come say ‘Hi’ to sweet Holly if you are walking by! If she is not in the shop, you will most likely find her in line at Mawa’s or working her second job as the mail dog.

  • Kamer Suri

    Mentor/ Designer/Diamond Dealer

    Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Kamer is a second generation jeweler out of Los Angeles.

    He is a graduate of GIA diamond sector, and has 28 years experience in the industry, 15 of which were spent with the well known jeweler Norman Covan and then expanded into diamond and gold wholesale. Kamer’s knowledge, mentorship and friendship began 10 years ago with Cynthia and continues to grow each year. If it weren’t for Kamer none of this wouldn’t have been possible.

  • Diane Wuslich and Mika

    Sales and Marketing

    From NYC, marketing executive, Diane is the smiling face you will see when you walk into The Hive.

    When not at the shop she is hiking every mountain in the area with her trusty sidekick Mika. Diane is also a local potter in the area that shows her beautiful pieces around the valley.

    Sales

    From Mexico City, Elena is our other smiling face here at The Hive! Her welcoming energy and enthusiasm is infectious.

    When she is not at The Hive, she is spending time in nature hiking and walking. Stop by and say Hi!
